Fun activities at Kathy's Home Daycare include:
- Indoor and outdoor play
- Schedule rest time
- Active and quiet play
- Early literacy experiences with language and
books (from Kathy and her own children) - Organized and free activities
- Able to play with other children and also have
solitary play (both daycare children and Kathy’s - own children)
- Activities which promote imaginative play and
problem solving - Time to listen to music, play homemade
instruments, sing and dance (lessons from
Kathy and her own children) - Time to run, exercise and develop coordination
- Time for art activities
- Special time for individual adult attention and
interaction - Time for meals and snacks (indoors and
picnics outdoors) - Outdoor water play (sprinklers and water tables)
Kathy’s Home Daycare provides quality age appropriate toys and games
such as rattles, grasping toys, activity blankets, bouncers, gym & play mats,
stationary entertainers, outdoor play yards, baby books, teethers and music
for infants. Toys for older babies and toddlers may include water play toys,
cause & effect, hand eye coordination, manipulative skills, nesting &
stacking, push & pull, shapes & colors, sights & sounds. Toddlers may also
include small building toys, pouring experiences and safe scissors for older
children. Building toys such as blocks and accessories, dolls, cars & trucks,
toy food and dishes, dress up clothes enhance imaginary play.
